Fish passage and natural flows were returned at Manyweathers Weir on the Richmond River, in July 2009 as a part of the Bring Back the Fish project. The removal of the weir restored fish passage to 288 km of freshwater habitat in the Richmond River. The State Water owned obsolete weir was removed over 10 days. The weir was the highest priority barrier in the Richmond River.
